
RULES & REGULATIONS
- The Top 15 films for THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE have been selected by a Jury comprising: Wenjie Zhang (Programmer, Cinematheque, National Museum of Singapore), Dan Prichard (Arts Manager, British Council), Nicholas Chee (Managing Director, Sinema), Joe Lawlor (Filmmaker) and Christine Molloy (Filmmaker)
- THE JURY PRIZE will be awarded to one film selected by the Jury.
- All entries must reach the organizers by 5.00pm, Friday 17th September 2010. Late entries will not be accepted.
- All entries will be subject to moderation before being posted.
- Entries must not contain offensive or explicit imagery and must be suitable for a general audience
- No copyrighted material can be included in an entry.
- The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry if the information given in the entry form is incorrect, false or incomplete.
- All rights and clearances MUST BE obtained.
- All films entered into the competition will be viewable in the Gallery section of the WHERE THE HEART IS area of the website.
- From these films, a shortlist will be drawn up by the Jury and this selection will be subject to a public vote in contention for the PEOPLE’S CHOICE vote, commencing Friday 24th September and ending at 5.00pm on Sunday 3rd October.
- Entry to the competition and admission to the Gallery does not guarantee admission to the public vote.
- The results of the competition will be announced at 12 noon on Monday 4th October. Winners will be notified by email.
- Should the judges deem such, the organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the prizes.
- Entry of films for competition implies acceptance of these regulations.
- The organisers’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- All films selected for the October screenings need to be provided on a thumbdrive. You will be notified in due course if your film has been selected. DO NOT send us your thumbdrives now!
- Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash equivalent will be offered.
- All winners will be expected to take part in any pre or post festival publicity which the organizers reasonably request.
- By entering the competition, you agree to allow your film to be featured on the website from the date of your submission and IN PERPETUITY from the date of closing of entries. No screening fee will be owable to participants and during one calendar year from the end of the submission period (i.e. until Friday 23 September 2011), the competition organizers reserve the right to screen your film as they see fit.
